Important information for those turning 25 in 2020
The Cancer Registry sends an information letter to all women living in Norway with a Norwegian personal identification number the year they reach 25. This letter is sent regardless of if you have had a screening test done earlier or not.
It is recommended that women between the ages of 25 and 69 have cervical screening tests regularly, to prevent cervical cancer. Having regular cervical screening tests significantly reduce the chance of developing cervical cancer.
You need to make an appointment with your GP (fastlege) or gynecologist for smear-taking.
