Data Delivery Unit
In 2019, a new joint application form was launched for access to data from health registries and population-based health surveys with associated biological material, which is managed by the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, the Norwegian Directorate of Health and the Cancer Registry of Norway.
Now you only need one form, even if you want to apply for data from multiple sources.
On Helsedata.no you will find application guidance, application form, overview of data sources and which variables the various data sources contain.
Read more about content and variables in the Cancer Registry of Norway.
Applications for access to individual data, use the application guide and application form for personally identifiable data.
Applications for statistics or aggregated data, use the application guide and application form for anonymous aggregated data.
All inquiries to and deliveries from the Cancer Registry of Norway are logged; Section 3-8 of the Cancer Registry Regulation. This overview does not contain information about personal circumstances.
The public has the right to access the information pursuant to Section 3 of the Public Administration Act. The information may also be made available to other computer-responsible enterprises that process health information in the Cancer Registry of Norway by agreement.
