For those who have participated in the project " Cancer risk among nurses"
Privacy
All information registered about you will be treated strictly confidentially, and will only be used to study the relationship between occupation and cancer among nurses in the project.
Researchers will only have access to indirectly identifiable data during the analysis phase, and will not be able to link the information to you as an individual. Only authorized personnel in the project have access to find a specific person.
It will not be possible to identify you when the results of the study are published.
The National Institute of Occupational Health, represented by Director Pål Molander, is the data controller.
Biobank
The saliva samples that were taken, and the information derived from this material, are stored in a research biobank at the National Institute of Occupational Health.
The collected saliva samples will be indirectly identifiable, i.e. these are without your name and national identity number or other recognizable information about you.
Shanbeh Zienolddiny is responsible for the biobank.
The biobank is planned to last until 31.12.2022. After this, material and information will be destroyed according to internal guidelines.
The project has approval from the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, and it has been recommended by the Regional Committee for Research Ethics (REC South-East).
Right to access and delete information about you and of samples
As a participant in the study, you have the right to access the types of information registered about you. You also have the right to have any errors in the information we have registered about you corrected.
If you withdraw from the trial, you can request deletion of collected information and destruction of collected samples from you.
Information about the outcome of the study
Participants in the project have the right to receive information about all results of the study.
On this website you will find an overview of the articles published from this project in international journals up to the end of 2017.
Renewed consent
Participants in the project must sign a form with renewed consent for further participation, if they still wish to contribute to the study.
