Purpose

Using data from the Cancer Registry, this project aims to investigate whether there are regional differences in cervical cancer in Norway.

Data basis

The study uses anonymised data on cases of cervical cancer and attendance for cervical cancer screening.

In addition, a separate dataset from a large survey on lifestyle and health is used to see if there may be regional differences in risk factors for cervical cancer, such as sexual behaviour and smoking. There is no link between registry and questionnaire data.

Status

All data in the project were obtained from the Cancer Registry of Norway and from the survey, and publication is ongoing.
