Quality assurance manual
The quality assurance manual in BreastScreen Norway consists of several sub-manuals and reports, and sets out guidelines for the work carried out by vital professionals and institutions in BreastScreen Norway.
The quality assurance manual is published by the Cancer Registry of Norway, and is developed in a collaboration between the secretariat at the Cancer Registry, the specialist groups and the advisory group in the screening program.
All the manuals and reports below are written in Norwegian.
Quality assurance manual for BreastScreen Norway: Responsibilities, guidelines and quality indicators
Published by the Cancer Registry of Norway, Oslo, November 2023, with corrected Table 4 in July 2024.
The manual was approved by the Steering group for cancer screening programs in October 2023.
Manual for radiography
Published by the Cancer Registry of Norway, Oslo, December 2021, with minor editions June 2022.
The manual was approved by the Steering group of BreastScreen Norway in November 2021. A film demonstrating step-by-step positioning techniques for screening radiographers has been developed as a supplement to the manual. You can see the film here (in Norwegian).
