Larsen is a researcher, and since 2019 she has been deputy head of the analysis and research section. Today she leads a project on health, bowel function and quallity of life among colorectal cancer patients, and is involved in a larger research project that looks at the development of non-contagious diseases (NCD) in Norway. Larsen completed her Master of Science in Biology in 1996 at the University of Tromsø. She completed her PhD at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Oslo in 2007.
Inger Kristin Larsen is a researcher and has been deputy head of the analysis and research section since 2019.
She has been employed at the Cancer Registry of Norway since 1998. Since 2011 she has been editor of the Cancer Registry's annual publication Cancer in Norway.
Larsen has worked on various research projects on colorectal cancer, and has written several articles on data quality.
In recent years, she has participated in research related to the risk of cancer in women who have received assisted reproduction and children born after such treatment, led a major project on cancer in immigrants and has worked with social inequalities and cancer incidence.
Today she leads a project on health, bowel function and quality of life among colorectal cancer patients, and is part of a larger research project looking at the development of non-infectious diseases (NCDs) in Norway.
Larsen completed his cand. scient degree in biology, with specialization in epidemiology and population ecology, in 1996. The degree was taken at the University of Tromsø.
She completed her PhD at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Oslo in 2007 with the thesis: "Colorectal Cancer Screening by Flexible Sigmoidoscopy: Acceptance of screening, risk factors for neoplasia, and impact of screening on future health behaviour". The thesis was a sub-project in the NORCCAP study.
