Tove Anita Slyngstad started working at the Cancer Registry of Norway in 2011 as a research assistant at the HPV section. In 2012 she transferred to Janus serum bank and works with coordination of Janus projects, administrative tasks, preparation of data and extraction of samples. She also performs some analyses in the laboratory. She also works on the data warehouse project with database cleaning, quality assurance of files and implementation of analysis results with a view to later reuse. Slyngstad is a candidate in chemistry at Agder University College Kristiansand, now the University of Agder. In addition, she has taken individual courses in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at the University of Oslo, and Research Biobanking at NTNU.

She is interested in cancer research and here she gains more knowledge about cancer biology, risk factors, diagnostics and treatment of both common and rare cancers.
Slyngstad is a candidate in chemistry at Agder University College Kristiansand, now the University of Agder.

She has several years of experience as a chemical engineer at various research laboratories, in recent years in cancer research.
