Margrethe Meo

Margrethe works with project administration and research support at the Research Department. Among other things, she coordinates several EEA and EU projects. Until recently, Margrethe has worked closely with Elisabete Weiderpass's projects - before Weiderpass took over the position as head of IARC. Meo assisted with publication, literature search, drafting of conference papers (posters and presentations).

Margrethe holds a master's degree in geography from the University of Warsaw. She has a special interest in medical geography and statistical methods, which subsequently resulted in supplementary studies in epidemiology (Epidemiology for PhD students at UiO and Summer School in Epidemiology in Florence). In addition, she has a 2-year academic teacher education from the University of Warsaw.

Before Margrethe came to the Cancer Registry, she worked as a trainee at the Norwegian Pollution Control Authority (2005) with the project on air pollution and health in Oslo, and at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (2001-2002) with a pilot project on meteorological factors and pre-eclampsia.
