Hilde Hedemann Brenn is responsible for the Quality Registry for the National Quality Register for Melanoma and secretary of the registry's reference group, an advisory unit consisting of medical experts on melanoma.
She is responsible for the annual report for the National Quality Registry for Melanoma in close collaboration with representatives from the clinical communities. The purpose of the Quality Registry is to strengthen the quality of health care for patients with melanoma.

The registries shall also conduct, promote and provide a basis for research to develop new knowledge about the causes, diagnosis and course of cancer, as well as treatment effects.
Hilde makes sure to send reminders to the clinics if data is incomplete. She also prepares specifications, clinical notices and pathology reports used by the clinics for data reporting.
Hilde is responsible for coding, registration and quality assurance in the melanoma registry and assists with registry expertise and disclosure of data to the Cancer Registry's data dispensing unit and other interested parties. She also represents the quality register in external contexts.
She is responsible for the group that codes urological cancer and skin cancer, and ensures that code progress, quality assurance and professional follow-up are taken care of.
