Helga Helseth Hektoen

Helga H. Hektoen is a postdoctoral fellow and part of the Janus Group. She studies associations between lifestyle factors (obesity, physical activity, metabolic factors, vitamin-D) and bladder cancer. Helseth Hektoen holds a master's degree in Chemistry and Biotechnology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. She took her PhD at the Department of Cancer Research at the Norwegian Radium Hospital, Department of Tumor Biology, with the title: Translational studies of microenvironmental factors in rectal cancer, with emphasis on tumor hypoxia.
