The Invitation

Eight in ten cases of breast cancer is found in women over 50. We invite all women between 50 and 69 years of age to mammography screening. This is done every two years, in accordance with recommendations from international health authorities. Be aware of the fact that the age of the first invitation may vary from 49-53 years of age. However, all women will be offered a total of ten mammograms. According to results from the first ten years of the Norwegian Breast Cancer Screening Programme, four in five of the invited women participated.
